Faeries with Attitude will be at the Quilt and Craft Exhibition in Warragul with lots of new sculptures and the fabulous range of Powertex Products. There will be demonstrations each day and also a series of 1 hour workshops so you can discover the amazing versatility of Powertex.
Over the weekend there will be the opportunity to make your own tea-light holder, an elegant masquerade wall plaque, see demonstrations on how to use PowerPrint, the fabulous photo transfer medium, a variety of mixed media products and techniques, and of course sculpture demonstrations!!
Ashley Bowley from Powertex Australia, the importer of Powertex, and Rhonda Hunt, Victorian Distributor and Trainer.
How fantastic does the Powertex stand, at the Craft and Quilt Fair look?? What a huge job, many hours of work, lots of laughter, frustration at trying to get the artwork to hang straight, boxes everywhere, things missing, scissors gone AWOL, and finally a display that looks wonderful. Featuring artwork by some of the Victorian Powertex Team, there are many beautiful examples for to inspire you, demonstrating what can be achieved with the fabulous Powertex range of products. There are lots of great show "specials", and workshops and demonstrations throughout the day. Every day, I will be doing a "Christmas in July" Christmas Bauble demonstration, and a fabric tealight holder workshop. Ash will be doing a Powerprint demonstration daily and a beautiful mask workshop tomorrow at 4.00pm. Looking forward to a fabulous four days!! The finished piece, by Sharron Johnson. Had a really enjoyable day on Friday, working with Sharron, our Traralgon based Powertex Trainer, who is also a good friend. While Sharron worked on her beautiful art piece, I pottered around finishing off a few things. The photos below show Sharron's piece coming together and the couple of pieces that I finished also. Sharron had sewn the beautiful flowers at home and then used Stone Art on the panels and we mixed up some plaster of paris to use on the frame. All the fabric was treated with Powertex Transparant. One very talented lady!! |
